We’re all passionate about growing our businesses and boosting sales, but these invisible barriers often show up just when we’re ready to go all in. And trust me—I’ve been there. Not so long ago, I was petrified of selling, held back by my own doubts and limiting beliefs.

Today, I’m inviting you to join me on a journey to clear those blocks and build a growth-focused mindset. Grab a journal, find a cozy spot, and let’s dive into this step-by-step guide inspired by inner work and business growth. Together, we’ll clear the path to higher sales and bigger success! 🖐️Part I: Understanding & Practicing Tapping

One of the most effective tools for tackling mental and emotional roadblocks is tapping, also known as Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). Tapping calms the nervous system, helps you rewire your brain + work through mental chatter that can undermine your confidence. And as you know from following The Microdose Diet, I love the combination of microdosing psilocybin to amplify and accelerate tapping’s benefits. Don’t let your brain hold you back from trying it🧠; it’s much safer to stay in your comfort zone, but real growth happens outside of it!

How to Get Started: From the beginning, I like to start with an intentional tapping session on “I can go to the next level with this work.” Too often, we begin with skepticism, disbelief, or criticism. Let’s clear that from the start. Follow along with the tapping session in the masterclass video.

🗺️Part II: Assessing Your Current Situation

Before making meaningful changes, it’s essential to understand where you currently stand and any discomfort with your current situation (Imposter Syndrome anyone?😕). Take time to reflect on your mindset and identify any internal limits. Ask yourself:

  • What thoughts and feelings come up when I think about my business and sales as they are now?

  • Are there any recurring fears, doubts, or self-imposed limits?

Pro Tip: If you’re familiar with The Microdose Diet protocol, you know journaling is a fantastic tool for growth. Don’t let your brain convince you it’s too much or won’t work—write down these thoughts. You can find a general tapping session in the masterclass video that you can adapt with your own words. My book and online course also include tapping scripts tailored to specific situations. By identifying what’s holding us back and releasing it, we create space for new, supportive beliefs to grow.

🎯Part III: Setting Your Intention

A clear, focused intention can make a huge difference in your sales journey. Define your sales or business goal for the next 3-6 months. For example, you might set an intention like, “I want to double my sales by connecting deeply with my clients’ needs.” Choose an intention that is both a stretch and realistic 🏹. For example, “I want to quintuple my sales in 3 months” will likely feel too unrealistic and too detached, making it difficult to connect your mind and body to the goal.

Visualization and Tapping Exercise: Close your eyes and imagine this intention as if it’s already achieved. Notice any discomfort or negative thoughts that pop up. You can do a tapping exercise to clear away any “I can’t” or “I’m not ready” thoughts. You’ll find a tapping example in the masterclass.

🧹Part IV: Clearing Blocks & Cultivating New Beliefs

Our environment and daily stressors often shape our thinking, adding subtle doubts to our mindset. I’ve often emphasized the importance of decluttering (things, spaces, events, people…) Aligning your habits, environment and identity with your ideal self—your alter ego who has already achieved their goals—is a non-negotiable for sustainable success.✅

How to Do It: Journal about the stress or resistance you feel toward becoming this person who has achieved your intention. Do you think she’s too arrogant or assertive? Maybe you feel she shouldn’t be asking for business or that she’s too visible? Tap on these thoughts. Follow along with the masterclass tapping session and adjust the words to fit your specific situation.

✂️Part V: Refining Your Intention

Intentions grow stronger with refinement. Now that you’ve begun clearing mental blocks, revisit your intention with a fresh mindset. Do you feel differently about it? Are there new insights or adjustments you want to make?

There’s no need to leap to overly ambitious intentions if your brain and nervous system are already struggling to connect with a more reasonable goal. It’s not “Go Big or Go Home.” Think of this as an iterative process where you gradually move the goalposts as you acclimate to each new level.🥅 This is truly a “rinse and repeat” approach.

How to Do It: Tap on your refined intention. It might be similar to the earlier one or a slightly adjusted target. Don’t choose a totally different goal, as our brain tends to make us flip-flop to keep us “safe” in the same place. Stick with the same theme but perhaps adjust the scale. Follow the masterclass tapping, and as always, feel free to adapt it to your own intention.

🚧Part VI: Targeted Tapping for Specific Blocks

Certain sales barriers tend to come up more than others—fear of charging what you’re worth, feeling uncomfortable with self-promotion or fear of asking for support (introductions, testimonials…). Identify the specific blocks holding you back from fully engaging in your sales efforts.💲

Focus Areas: You may feel your work has limited value, fear asking for what you’re worth, or worry about coming across as too assertive. Many limiting beliefs can stand in the way of sales. Let’s tap on these specifics. You can find a general tapping session in the masterclass as a basis for your tapping.

🤑Building a Sales Mindset That Sticks: Takeaways

Cleaning before affirming:
You may have noticed that we waited until the end to shift into positivity. Affirmations are great, but they often come too soon. Let’s clear out old blocks before planting new beliefs!

Aligning with your sales leader identity:
This reprogramming work is about aligning your brain, body, emotions, and energy with your target state. Jumping too quickly means the changes won’t stick. Think of it as You 2.0 (before You 3.0, 4.0, etc.).

Serving versus Selling:

An important aspect of selling is authenticity. You know your products and services bring real value and solve a problem for your clients. But it’s essential to truly believe it—not just know it! Without that deep belief, you may come across as sales-y or even desperate. When you genuinely believe in yourself and your offer, you’ll naturally come across as authentic (because you are!), and your offers will feel like the welcomed solutions they truly are.

Holistic approach:
I love incorporating multiple tools to reprogram your brain and body in the most effective way. Tapping, visualization, journaling, and microdosing work together to deepen and accelerate the rewiring process. For those nervous about psychedelics, I’ll be launching a legal product in December-January that mimics psilocybin’s benefits—without the psilocybin. Research even suggests it mirrors PTSD in many ways, bringing up deep feelings of anxiety, depression, and unworthiness, especially around financial matters. But the surprising part? Financial trauma doesn’t just happen overnight. It’s often deeply embedded in our subconscious, built from childhood and, in some cases, passed down through generations.

👶Takeaway #1: How Our Early Money Beliefs Are Formed

Everything you learned about money, you learned before the age of seven. Growing up, the conversations (or lack thereof) around money in our households set up our subconscious beliefs. Did your family avoid talking about money? Or perhaps they had a scarcity mindset, expressing fears about having "enough" to survive? These early messages build the basis for how we relate to money today, often without us realizing it.

Action Step: Take a moment to reflect on the language and attitudes around money you experienced in childhood. Write down what you remember hearing or feeling about money. Recognizing these patterns is the first step in reshaping them.

When we experience money stress, it’s not just mental—it’s deeply physical. Timea shared how financial trauma is often stored in our nervous system, creating a cycle of worry and stress that prevents us from thinking clearly. It’s not just in your head; financial trauma sends stress hormones throughout your body, keeping you stuck in a fight-or-flight mode.
