šŸ–ļøPart I: Understanding & Practicing Tapping

One of the most effective tools for tackling mental and emotional roadblocks is tapping, also known as Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). Tapping calms the nervous system, helps you rewire your brain + work through mental chatter that can undermine your confidence. And as you know from following The Microdose Diet, I love the combination of microdosing psilocybin to amplify and accelerate tappingā€™s benefits. Donā€™t let your brain hold you back from trying itšŸ§ ; itā€™s much safer to stay in your comfort zone, but real growth happens outside of it!

How to Get Started: From the beginning, I like to start with an intentional tapping session on ā€œI can go to the next level with this work.ā€ Too often, we begin with skepticism, disbelief, or criticism. Before making meaningful changes, itā€™s essential to understand where you currently stand and any discomfort with your current situation (Imposter Syndrome anyone?šŸ˜•). Take time to reflect on your mindset and identify any internal limits. Ask yourself:

  • What thoughts and feelings come up when I think about my business and sales as they are now?

  • Are there any recurring fears, doubts, or self-imposed limits?

Donā€™t let your brain convince you itā€™s too much or wonā€™t workā€”write down these thoughts. A clear, focused intention can make a huge difference in your sales journey. Define your sales or business goal for the next 3-6 months. For example, you might set an intention like, ā€œI want to double my sales by connecting deeply with my clientsā€™ needs.ā€ Choose an intention that is both a stretch and realistic šŸ¹. For example, ā€œI want to quintuple my sales in 3 monthsā€ will likely feel too unrealistic and too detached, making it difficult to connect your mind and body to the goal.

Visualization and Tapping Exercise: Close your eyes and imagine this intention as if itā€™s already achieved. Notice any discomfort or negative thoughts that pop up. You can do a tapping exercise to clear away any ā€œI canā€™tā€ or ā€œIā€™m not readyā€ thoughts. Youā€™ll find a tapping example in the masterclass.

šŸ§¹Part IV: Clearing Blocks & Cultivating New Beliefs

Our environment and daily stressors often shape our thinking, adding subtle doubts to our mindset. Iā€™ve often emphasized the importance of decluttering (things, spaces, events, peopleā€¦) Aligning your habits, environment and identity with your ideal selfā€”your alter ego who has already achieved their goalsā€”is a non-negotiable for sustainable success.āœ…

How to Do It: Journal about the stress or resistance you feel toward becoming this person who has achieved your intention. Do you think sheā€™s too arrogant or assertive? Maybe you feel she shouldnā€™t be asking for business or that sheā€™s too visible? Tap on these thoughts. Follow along with the masterclass tapping session and adjust the words to fit your specific situation.

Intentions grow stronger with refinement. Now that youā€™ve begun clearing mental blocks, revisit your intention with a fresh mindset. Do you feel differently about it? Are there new insights or adjustments you want to make?

Thereā€™s no need to leap to overly ambitious intentions if your brain and nervous system are already struggling to connect with a more reasonable goal. Itā€™s not ā€œGo Big or Go Home.ā€ Think of this as an iterative process where you gradually move the goalposts as you acclimate to each new level.šŸ„… This is truly a ā€œrinse and repeatā€ approach.

How to Do It: Tap on your refined intention. It might be similar to the earlier one or a slightly adjusted target. Donā€™t choose a totally different goal, as our brain tends to make us flip-flop to keep us ā€œsafeā€ in the same place. Stick with the same theme but perhaps adjust the scale. Follow the masterclass tapping, and as always, feel free to adapt it to your own intention.

šŸš§Part VI: Targeted Tapping for Specific Blocks

Certain sales barriers tend to come up more than othersā€”fear of charging what youā€™re worth, feeling uncomfortable with self-promotion or fear of asking for support (introductions, testimonialsā€¦). Identify the specific blocks holding you back from fully engaging in your sales efforts.šŸ’²

Focus Areas: You may feel your work has limited value, fear asking for what youā€™re worth, or worry about coming across as too assertive. Many limiting beliefs can stand in the way of sales. Cleaning before affirming:
You may have noticed that we waited until the end to shift into positivity. Affirmations are great, but they often come too soon. Letā€™s clear out old blocks before planting new beliefs!

Aligning with your sales leader identity:
This reprogramming work is about aligning your brain, body, emotions, and energy with your target state. Jumping too quickly means the changes wonā€™t stick. Think of it as You 2.0 (before You 3.0, 4.0, etc.).

Serving versus Selling:

An important aspect of selling is authenticity. You know your products and services bring real value and solve a problem for your clients. But itā€™s essential to truly believe itā€”not just know it! Without that deep belief, you may come across as sales-y or even desperate. When you genuinely believe in yourself and your offer, youā€™ll naturally come across as authentic (because you are!), and your offers will feel like the welcomed solutions they truly are.

Holistic approach:
I love incorporating multiple tools to reprogram your brain and body in the most effective way. Tapping, visualization, journaling, and microdosing work together to deepen and accelerate the rewiring process.
